Available Jobs at EDvera

It all began back in 2001 when our founder, Chris Eckels, was responsible for legal/regulatory compliance at a school doing business in 17 states. After living on a plane for the better part of three years, it became very clear that there had to be a way to improve the process -- a simpler, faster and less-expensive way that eliminated shipping 3-ring binders and documents back and forth between schools and regulators/accreditors. The idea for EDvera -- marrying compliance with technology and online access -- was hatched in 2004.

Sales Account Manager (full-time)

Location: Central Ohio - Columbus is preferred

Company Background

EDvera is a SaaS enterprise application that integrates the automation of workflows, document management and real-time reporting – coupled with dynamic progress update notifications and payment processing. Historically, the platform has been used by government agencies and accreditors for “compliance management” in the post-secondary education market. Going forward, the company plans to pursue significant expansion opportunities in other verticals who are also responsible for managing business/organization applicants through a licensing/permitting/authorization process.

Ideal candidates will be highly productive and motivated while working from your own professional home-based office (and on-occasion, our office) environment. You must excel in the use of email, phone, video conference, social media and other channels to contact and engage cold and warm leads/buyers. Maintaining CRM as your ‘primary source of truth’ will also be required as you work with a distributed team to qualify leads, educate buyers, recommend solutions, and close new deals.

If you enjoy working autonomously and you’re willing to learn how to sell innovative products against the status quo, we want to hear from you. While you will have all the management, training, mentorship and coaching required to succeed, we will also expect you to overachieve committed goals without constant supervision, demonstrating a commitment to your own professional growth.

To qualified candidates for our Sales Account Manager position, we offer:

  • An industry-leading compensation package with a competitive base salary and uncapped commissions for “on-target earnings” of $100+k in the first year.
  • A dedicated onboarding program designed to accelerate learning and goal achievement, delivered by an accomplished leadership team dedicated to your personal success.
  • A flexible benefits plan and family-friendly work environment with opportunities for advancement into senior sales and sales management roles.

Job Duties of an Sales Account Manager:

  • Deliver the goal setting, planning and time management required to meet performance targets.
  • Effectively split your time between filling your pipeline and engaging in our team selling model.
  • Develop and execute cold and warm outreach plans to reach and establish rapport with decision-makers.
  • Secure qualified meetings, lead sales cycles, and close 10+ deals per year (after onboarding and training).
  • Use CRM to collect high-quality data for your own dashboard analysis, self-management and action-taking.
  • Rapidly improve your working knowledge of the market, each customer and buyer persona.

Qualifications of a Sales Account Manager:

  • Verifiable history of accountability, creativity, perseverance and high-volume pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with the principles of a value-centric/consultative sales process—we don’t pitch.
  • Professional phone, writing, speaking and video-based presentation skills.
  • SaaS software sales experience is preferred but not required. No industry experience required.
  • Postsecondary education market experience is a "bonus" but not required.
